Abertay Chancellor Bestows Postgraduate Student Fund

Following a聽generous gift of 拢50,000聽from Abertay Chancellor Lord Cullen (pictured), a new聽fund has been created for PhD and Masters Research students.

The聽Chancellor鈥檚 Fund will聽enhance the Abertay student experience and help build its research community聽by聽raising student profiles and expanding their professional development opportunities. It can be used to聽assist students in meeting expenditure relating to their specific area of research and can cover costs including聽travel, conference attendance聽and networking opportunities.

"I wanted to do something to encourage and support the student research community."

Lord Cullen said: 鈥淚 have very much enjoyed my association with Abertay over the last ten years.听

"I wanted to do something to encourage and support the student research community.听I am delighted to establish the Chancellor鈥檚 Fund, creating a distinct way of supporting PhD and Masters students.鈥�

Principal Professor Nigel Seaton said:
