Lost City of Lamat, The Coleman Journal

Synopsis

In May of 1929 a mysterious journal made its way to the New York Historical Society, the owner of which was simply referred to as 鈥淐oleman鈥�.

Inside they found documents of an undisturbed Mayan civilisation. Supposedly hidden from the world, the civilisation had developed technologies thought to be impossible. Absent from any record or archive, expeditions set out to find the undiscovered Mesoamerican people, but to no avail.

The anthropological community thought of the journal as nothing more than an elaborate hoax. No author or organisation has ever come forward to claim the journal, though the inscription does request that the journal be given to one Amelia M.E.

The journal has only recently been on display for the public. From which a new private study is set to undertake in un-explored areas of Guatemala with the latest scientific technologies. With a refreshed interest in its secrets; the lost city of Lamat described in the journal may still be found once more.

An exploration of world building of an undisturbed Mayan civilisation; though the medium of an explorers journal and various works of art.

Motivation

My final year at Abertay gave me the creative freedom to invest time and my resources into聽 improving my聽 creative skill sets.聽 I have always been a huge fan of visual story telling and I wanted to apply my creative skills into聽 a part of story telling that I haven't really touched upon, world-building.
