Synopsis
This research project explores the ways in which illustrated children鈥檚 books can incorporate ecological messages. The overarching framework on which this project is based brings together the disciplines of illustration and narrative in children鈥檚 picture books and environmental awareness studies.
The outcome of the research is a picture book which conveys an environmental theme in an engaging and intriguing way. The ecological message embedded in the picture book is the appreciation of marine biodiversity and how reducing pollution will help its preservation.
The Ocean's Hidden Treasure

Motivation
I wanted to work on a project which encompasses my love of illustration and design. I decided to design and create a picture book which combines my interest in illustration with the topic of environmental awareness.
